Former Angelo State basketball player
Brice Nengsu has signed a contract to play professionally in the Union of European Leagues of Basketball.
Nengsu, who played for ASU in the 2007-08 season, will be a member of Chorale Roanne in the Ligue Nationale de Basket in France. Chorale Roanne is one of sixteen teams that play a round-robin schedule from October-January with the top eight teams advancing to the postseason.
In his one season at Angelo State, Nengsu led the Rams in three-point shooting and finished the year third on the team in scoring, rebounding and free-throw shooting. He ended the season averaging 10.8 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per contest and a .656 free-throw percentage while connecting on 41 percent of his shots from three-point range.
