The Angelo State soccer team (8-8, 2-6 LSC) was handed a 4-1 loss at No. 19-ranked West Texas A&M Friday afternoon in Canyon.
The Lady Buffs (11-2-1, 5-2 LSC) used a chip shot by Melanie Shannon in the 18th minute and then added two early second-half tallies to take control of the contest. WT's first goal of the second half came on a free kick by Becky Hewson in the 55th minute and Mogan Kviz added a header off a corner kick in the 56th minute to give WTAMU a 3-0 lead. Hewson would find net again in the 90th minute on a shot from 10 yards out.

WTAMU out-shot the Rambells, 11-3, for the match and took nine corner kicks, seven of which came in the second half. The Lady Buffs had nine of their 11 shots at the break as well.
The Rambelles will return to action Sunday as they visit Eastern New Mexico. Game time is 1 p.m. (Central) in Portales, N.M.
