Rams to hold open tryouts

The Angelo State University baseball program will be holding an open tryout for any interested high school seniors, junior college players or current ASU students at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010. The tryout will be held at Foster Field.

In order to tryout, each player must have a copy of a current physical. High school athletes may use the physical they needed for participation in high school athletics. Current ASU students and junior college players must have had a physical within the past six months. Without proof of a physical, you may not tryout.

Tryout participants will also need to complete a tryout waiver form in order to participate. Click here for a link to the waiver. If you are under the age of 18, this waiver must be signed by your parent or legal guardian. Registration with the NCAA Clearinghouse, current high school transcripts, along with SAT/ACT scores are highly recommended, but not required.

Registration for the tryout begins at 12:30 p.m. at Foster Field. All intersted participants needs to bring waiver and any any other information with them to registration.
