SAN ANGELO – Angelo State senior Brandie DeBacker was named to the Lone Star Conference Championship All-Tournament Team on Sunday following Midwestern State's 2-1 win over Abilene Christian in the championship match.

DeBacker's selection to the all-tournament team is the second straight year she has made the team. DeBacker scored the Rambelles' lone goal of the tournament with a 38th minute header to give ASU a 1-0 lead against Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday. The Lions would go on to win the match in penalty kicks to eliminate the Rambelles.

DeBacker, who is an exercise science major planning on attending physical therapy school, finished the season with a team-leading nine goals. She has also received LSC first-team honors, was chosen for the District 6 Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team, and the LSC all-academic team this week. 

The senior from New Braunfels completed her four-year career at Angelo State with 34 goals and 80 points.
