SAN ANGELO, Texas - Coming off a season where the team was recognized six times for its academic achievements, the Angelo State Rambelles soccer team had 11 players finish the academic fall semester with grade-point-averages of 3.4 or higher including two perfect 4.0s as announced by head coach Travis McCorkle.

The Rambelles had three players named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team this season followed by three members of the squad being namd to the second team of the District 6 Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team.

Under McCorkle, ASU has been honored for its academic success including twice being recognized from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and having 15 players earn academic accolades in his tenure.

The Rambelles soccer team returned to the Lone Star Conference tournament for the second consecutive season while forward Brandie DeBacker made First Team All-Lone Star Conference, the first time since 2004 an ASU player made first-team all-conference.
