SAN ANGELO – Angelo State senior
Brandie DeBacker was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's Division II South Central Region's third team on Friday.
DeBacker, a senior forward from New Braunfels, finished the season with a team-leading nine goals and was the first Rambelle to be selected to the Lone Star Conference's first-team since 2004. She has also been selected to the LSC all-tournament team for the second straight season, the District 6 Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team, and the LSC all-academic team.
DeBacker completed her four-year career at Angelo State with 34 goals and 80 points. Both marks put her second all-time the ASU record books.
The Lone Star Conference is represented on the NSCAA/NCAA Division II South Central Region teams with six on the first team, three on the second team, and six on the third team.
