ASU All-Access: Rams back at practice after two days off

ANGELO STATE BASEBALL

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State baseball team returned to practice on Thursday after taking the past two days off. The Rams will continue practicing throughout the weekend with intrasquad scrimmages to get work in for their pitchers leading up to next weekend's season-opening series.

AngeloSports.com caught up with Jake Feckley and Michael Weatherly to get a quick take on the two days off, how practice has been going and gauging their anticipation for the season.

“We are real excited,” Feckley said. “I know I'm losing sleep at night thinking about opening weekend and I know the rest of the guys are as excited as I am. We are ready to get things going."

Angelo State opens its season with a four-game series from Feb. 3-5 against Ouachita Baptist at Foster Field. The Rams are 7-3 all-time against the Arkadelphia, Ark., university – including beating the Tigers once in NCAA Division II tournament play. The Rams will play a 20-game non-conference schedule before opening Lone Star Conference play at Texas A&M-Kingsville on March 16.
