Krista Czarnecki
OKLAHOMA CITY— Angelo State junior Courtney Rutledge shot a 4-over par 75 in the final round of the RCB Bank Classic to claim 10th place at the Lincoln Park Golf Course (East) on Tuesday and the Rambelles finished 12th after a two day team total of 618 (308, 310).

ASU senior Krista Czarnecki cut four shots off her opening round by carding a 74 (+3) on Tuesday to earn 26th place. Czarnecki was in a tie for 44th after the first round but put together one of the best ball striking rounds of her career, according to ASU coach Kathleen Price.

“I've always loved this course and really felt great out there all day,” Czarnecki said. “The conditions were perfect today and it was a lot of fun. We all did well but there is still room for improvement.”

Elizabeth Chavarria shot an 8-over 79 for the second consecutive day and finished the tournament in 56th place with a two-day total of 158 in her first tournament representing Angelo State. Abby Bobo completed the 36-hole tournament with a 161 (78, 83) while Jordan Jernigan carded an 82 on Tuesday to finish with a 166 total and in 83rd place.

“We have some learning and improving to do but we can definitely take positives from this tournament,” Price said. “I think we understand now that we need more than one person to step up in each round for us to compete against strong teams like we're playing with. Every stroke is important and they really saw that in this tournament.”

St. Edward's won the tournament with a team total of 588 (296, 292) with Southwestern Oklahoma State taking second (298-296, 594). St. Edward's also won the ASU Concho River Classic two weeks ago at Bentwood Country Club.

Oklahoma City's Anna Rrese Cortadellas won the individual title after carding a 1-over two-round total of 143 (73, 70). Arkansas Tech's Reecka Surtevall, the first-round leader, St. Edward's Wallis Spears and Dallas Baptist's Macie Seeker tied for second at the tournament at 2-over par.
