SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team will look to shake its road woes as it faces Texas A&M-Kingsville in Kingsville on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Hampton Inn Court.
In the first meeting between the two schools, the Javelinas jumped out to a 10 point half time lead and held on for a 72-67 win in San Angelo.
Keenen Coleman led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds with
LaDonn Huckaby chipping in 17 points. Texas A&M-Kingsville had four scorers in double-digits led by Marshall Bonds II 19 points.
Texas A&M-Kingsville is 11-14 on the season and 6-10 in the LSC and are coming off a 71-50 loss to Midwestern State. Ashton Brown is the Javelinas leading scorer at 15.3 points per game and tops in the LSC with a 97 percent free throw shooting percentage. Texas A&M-Kingsville leads the league in free throw percentage at .719.
The Rams (10-14, 3-11) have played better in the last couple of weeks with its last three loses coming by a combined 10 points. Angelo State's defense has been its key to playing better holding the last six opponents under its season average of 68 points. The Rams will look to break through on the road having not won a contest this season.

Justin Walling has seen an increase in playing time averaging 23.8 minutes per game over the last six games and scoring 6.3 points per game.
