SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State football team started spring practice today with a two-hour practice that focused on fundamentals in the first of 15 practices.
“I thought today went well,” head coach
Will Wagner said after practice. ”We had a lot of enthusiasm and it was a gorgeous day to be out there. You could see the difference from this spring compared to last spring. We are way ahead of where we were last year and the new additions to the team and our returners have blended well together. We are excited to get back out there on Friday.”
The team broke up into individual position groups to focus on drills and working on technique. The practice was finished up with a team period that was able to see live action from the offense and defense.
It is the first of 15 practices for the Rams. The next practice will be Friday at 3:15 p.m. at the LeGrand Sports Complex.
