SAN ANGELO, Texas –
Angelo State's men's basketball coach Fred Rike has added San Angelo Central standout and talented scorer Reggie Sutton to the 2012-2013 season announced on Wednesday.

“We are extremely excited to have Reggie Sutton join the Angelo State basketball program,” Rike said. “Reggie is probably one of the best players in the history of San Angelo Central high school basketball, and he will have a positive impact on our team and the LSC.  He can score in a variety of ways and is a very good athlete that can finish at the rim.  He has excellent range on his jump shot and elevates well at mid-range.  Reggie has been well coached.  Most importantly Reggie is a fine young man from a great family.”

Sutton averaged 21.2 points, 2.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game during his senior season. He scored at least 30 points on six different occasions just in his senior season alone. He played all four years on varsity and led the Bobcats to the most wins in school history and to the regional quarterfinals for the first time since 1963.

The accolades have added up for Sutton. He was named all-region and District 3-5A's most valuable player on top of being named the All-West Texas Super Team MVP named by the San Angelo Standard-Times. As a sophomore and junior he earned first team all-district honors.
