SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Rambelles jumped up six spots to No. 13 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings announced on Wednesday.
The Rambelles were previously ranked No. 19 and jumped up six spots.
Jayda Spencer recorded her first NCAA Division II provisional mark this past weekend as did freshman
Ashlie Francis. Spencer is currently No. 10 in the discus in NCAA Division II.
Only two Lone Star Conference women's teams are ranked in the top 25 with Abilene Christian right behind the Rambelles at No. 14.
The Rams dropped two spots to No. 7 despite receiving NCAA Division II provisional marks from
Keaton Hatch and
Sean Reagan. Hatch moved up to No. 7 in the discus throw after his toss of 176'-11” (53.92m).
Abilene Christian is the highest LSC team on the men's side at No. 4 and Texas A&M-Kingsville is sitting at No. 5. West Texas A&M is the other school ranked in the top 25 and check in at No. 23.
