SAN ANGELO, Texas – Jake Feckley has been named the Lone Star Conference's Diamond Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after leading Angelo State to a 3-1 win over West Texas A&M last Saturday.
 
Feckley (4-1) struck out seven and walked only one hitter in his complete-game victory at Wilder Park in Canyon. The right-handed sophomore from Wylie allowed a first-inning run, but dominated the conference's top hitting team throughout the rest of the one hour, 20-minute seven-inning game.

"He really put the team on his back and really kept us in that game by himself until Ryan Greer hit his home run," ASU head coach Kevin Brooks said. "We didn't give him a lot of support, but he didn't let that affect his pitching. He just went out there and threw a great game and won it for us."
 
Feckely, who will start the first game of Friday's home doubleheader against Eastern New Mexico, now has a 2.91 earned run average, is holding opponents to a .257 batting average and has struck out 34 in 43.1 innings of work this season.
