Rams and Rambelles to Host Angelo State/David Noble Relays

The Angelo State/David Noble Relays begins tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.

Schedule of Events for April 5th

SAN ANGELO, Texas –
The Angelo State track & field teams will host the annual Angelo State/David Noble Relays at the LeGrand Sports Complex starting tomorrow with the multi-events and concluding on Thursday with a full schedule of events.

A total of 12 teams are entered in the Angelo State/David Noble Relays. The heptathlon and decathlon will start tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively. Wednesday's action will start at 1 p.m. for the decathlon and the heptathlon will be determined at the end of day one.

The Angelo State/David Noble Relays scheduled starts with running preliminaries at 12:30 p.m. along with the women's hammer and long jump. Field events are scheduled throughout the day and the running finals will start at 5:10 p.m.

The Rams and Rambelles are coming off a successful weekend at the Texas Relays. Theresa Sue set personal-best marks in both the 400-meter hurdles and long jump. Her long jump mark of 19'-3.50” (5.88m) is ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division II.

The men's 4x400m relay of Brendon West, Dallas Gray, Robbie Thayer and Isidro Garcia moved up to No. 1 in NCAA Division II with its time of 3:09.30.

Others with national marks in the top 10 include Kimberly Williams (javelin), Jacob McDonald (javelin), Patrick Hunter (triple jump), Austin Slone (triple jump), Summer Sutherland (pole vault), Kelsey Coffman (pole vault), Stormy Smothers (decathlon) and Shane Holmes (decathlon).

Results of the meet will be posted to www.angelosports.com after the meet.
