SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Rams had a few student-athletes head to San Marcos, Texas, to compete in the Bobcat Classic in their final tune-up before the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships next week.
Jacob McDonald threw a NCAA Division II provisional mark in the javelin to place second. His mark was 205'-7” (62.66m) to finish behind Ben Chretien of McNeese State.

Nick Smith and Kennan Henry ran in the 4x100-meter relay placing third. The relay crossed the line in a time of 41.54.
Sean Reagan placed 11
th in the men's discus with a throw of 158'-9” (48.39m). Reagan also placed 11
th in the shot put. He finished with a mark of 46'-10.25” (14.28m).
The Rams & Rambelles will now set their sights on the 2012 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships on May 3-5 in Commerce, Texas. The Rambelles will be seeking their fourth-straight LSC team title.
