Tournament Central

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 10 Angelo State softball team claimed the top seed in the 2012 NCAA Division II Softball Championship South Central Regional and will host for the fourth time in school history May 4-6 at the ASU Softball Complex.
 
Central Oklahoma earned the No. 2 seed and will be the other host institution. Rounding out the South Central field will be (3) Emporia State, (4) Missouri Western State, (5) Texas Woman's, (6) Abilene Christian, (7) Incarnate Word and (8) St. Edward's.

The Rambelles are 44-9 this season and finished the Lone Star Conference at 23-4 en route to their sixth Lone Star Conference Championship.  Angelo State's first game will be against No. 8 St. Edward's at 7 p.m. on Friday. The Hilltopers are currently 29-19 on the year.
