The Rams started the third practice of fall camp in shoulder pads and shorts. The pads brought a welcome change and a chance to put a pop on somebody for the first time this season.
Form tackling had a different feel and the offensive and defensive line worked one on ones. Both the offensive line and defensive line had some wins but each group welcomed the contact. The intensity was higher with more than a few pops heard throughout various drills.
Day three of fall camp is in the books but preparation continues for the first game of the season on Saturday, September 1 at San Angelo Stadium against Western State. The Rams will take the practice field at 9:15 a.m. in shoulder pads tomorrow.
