The Rams had two-a-days for the first time this season and the mental toughness of the team was put to the test in both practices.
The second practice was in the middle of the day with the sun shining down. The energy was dwindling until each group went to skeleton and music starting playing over the speakers. The body language and attitude changed instantly with the Rams getting a welcomed distraction from the heat.
The focus returned as the offense went against the defense inside the red zone. A third and one situation at the one yard and both sidelines were chirping at the other. The defense won the battle with an interception in the back of the end zone.
Day six of fall camp is in the books but preparation continues for the first game of the season on Saturday, September 1 at San Angelo Stadium against Western State. The Rams will take part in practice tomorrow at 9:15 at San Angelo Stadium.
