AUSTIN – Shelbi Goode had 19 kills and eight digs as the Angelo State volleyball team remained perfect on the season with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-18) win over St. Edward's on Saturday in its final match of the Hilltopper/Rattler Classic.
The Belles (4-0), who are ranked No. 15 in the nation, only trailed three times the entire match against the Hilltoppers on their home court.
Alex Woolsey finished with 41 assists for the second straight match and led the team with 25 digs, while
Maddie Huth had a season-high 13 kills.
Shelby Wilt added 17 digs and
Kaelen Valdez contributed 15 digs and seven kills.
Chelsea Gibson and
Katie Coleman each added seven kills as ASU is now 12-0 in sets played this season.
ASU returns to action on Friday against No. 3 Cal-State Bernadino and Regis at the Colorado Premier Challenge being played in Denver, Colo. The Belles will play two more matches in the tournament on Saturday with the opponents being determined by the results on Friday.
