SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Ram cross country team won the Grass Routes Grand Prix Division II race yesterday with a team score of 51 points while the Rambelles finished in third place with 74 points in Austin.
The top five Ram runners all placed in the top 20 of the 7.5 kilometer race and the 51 points was ahead of Trinity's 53 points and Tarleton State's 54 points.
Dylan Littlejohn continued his strong season placing second overall in a time of 25:32.44 with teammate
Jamin Goecker crossed the line right behind him in third place in 25:57.17.
Tomas Callejas had his best finish of the season in 10
th place in 26:45.24. Freshman
Graham Hazlewood ran a 27:19.40 to cross the line in 17
th place and freshman
Josh Day recorded a 19
th place in a time of 27:28.43.
Isac Valdez finished in 30
th place with a 28:11.79.
The Rambelles were led by senior
Emeline Crutcher who covered the 5K course in 20:01.84 and placed third overall.
Annifer Flores finished in 10
th with a 20:26.29.
Sofia Ramos crossed the line in 21:29.54 to finish 20
th with
Katy Williams right behind her in 22
nd place in 21:31.68.
Kami Orsak ran a 21:43.93 to finish 28
th and
Chastity King was 36
th in a 22:06.40.
Dallas Baptist won the women's race with 38 points with Trinity in second with 42 points.
The Rams and Rambelles next meet will be the ASU Blue & Gold Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
