Belles Host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Wednesday

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's basketball team hits the floor on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for a Lone Star Conference matchup with Texas A&M-Kingsville at Stephens Arena in the Junell Center.

The Belles are 6-7 overall and 3-4 in LSC play after losing their last three games to conference opponents. ASU's last win was against Texas A&M-International on December 18.

Haylee Oliver leads the team averaging 13.2 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game. The sophomore is ranked in the top 10 in the LSC in points (7th), assists (6th) and rebounds (4th).

Junior Leah LeMaire is the second leading scorer at 11.8 points per game. She is second on the team in steals with 10. Junior Lauren Holt is scoring 11.4 points per game and 8.8 rebounds. The Christoval native is the LSC's leading shot blocker at 2.3 per game.

The Belles are shooting 40-percent from the floor while holding teams to just 36-percent. ASU ranks second in the league.in defensive field goal percentage. 

Texas A&M-Kingsville is coming into the game having lost its last nine contests. The Javelinas average 61.3 points per game while giving up 70.2. Kaitlyn Lowen is the team's leading scorer at 10 points per game.
