SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State softball team was tabbed as the preseason favorite to win the Lone Star Conference softball championship for the second-straight season.
ASU received 251 total votes and 19 first-place votes after going 48-11 last season. The Rambelles won their sixth LSC league title and eighth NCAA Division II regional appearance.
The team returns six seniors, three juniors and one sophomore from that team. All-conference selections from a include

Carly Peters (third team).

Travis Scott enters his 10
th season with a career record of 519-172-2 with a 418-128 record and Angelo State. He has led the Rambelles to the NCAA Division II Tournament eight times.
The Rambelles will open their season on Friday, February 1 against East Central. The first home game of the season will be Friday, February 15 against Colorado State-Pueblo at 12 p.m.
