SAN ANGELO – Angelo State's women's tennis coach Chris Bizot has added Division I transfer Yasmine Ansari for the spring of 2018.

"Yasmine brings much needed college tennis experience and depth to our young team," Bizot said. "I am excited about the opportunities that our girls will have to compete at a high level in year one."

Ansari transfer from Louisiana Lafayette after going 2-4 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles. Prior to ULL she was ranked as high as No. 22 on the Moroccan Women's circuit and ended the 2016 season with a final ranking of No. 33.

Ansari and the Belles will open the spring season at home on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. against St. Edward's at the ASU Tennis Courts.
