Beyond the Court

Shelby Wilt  |  Libero/Setter  |  Senior  |  Dalhart, Texas

  • Expectations and goals for the 2014 season: Same thing for every season — end on a win. The only way to do that is to win a National Championship.
  • What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of: Being a part of such a successful volleyball program and helping the success grow.
  • Why choosing to play at Angelo State was a great decision: I was blessed with a ton of new sisters. Nobody else has a family like the RamFam! I also met my fiancé here, so that's a huge blessing as well.
  • What do you enjoy most about playing in the Junell Center: The energy that the crowd brings is unreal. We have the best fans in the Nation!
  • Teammate I wouldn't want to try and dig in a match: Katie MacLeay. The littles bring the power.
  • Funniest teammate and why: Klohe Harrion because she is the most awkward person I have met. You can just watch her and I guarantee you will laugh.
  • Most serious teammate and why: Cerbi Ritchey because she's sassy.
  • Dream concert: Hillsong United
  • Dream vacation: Fiji
  • Dream career: Stay at home mom.
  • Special talent I have that people don't know about me: I am on my way to becoming a pro golfer. (Even if you just started you're on your way, right?)
  • Favorite memory on a volleyball court: The Halloween practice last year when Kaelen Valdez wore a tutu and princess butterfly wings.
